CUSTOM WORK

Sometimes what you need just isn't available on the market. That's what I'm here for. I do custom work across the board including identity/branding, wedding invitation suites, packaging designs, and layouts, book and magazine layouts, typography, calligraphy, illustrations, woodwork, knitting, crocheting, and pretty much anything else you could imagine. If you'd like to work on a custom project with me, here are a few questions to keep in mind to get prepared!

01

Exactly what do you need? You could be getting ready for your wedding and need an entire invitation suite complete with save-the-date, invite, response card, map, ceremony program, menu, etc. Or maybe you just need part. Maybe you need an entire identity suite including business cards with a custom logo, stationery, envelopes, etc. The possibilities are endless. Take a moment to really think through what you need in the end so that I can accurately estimate how much time the project will take!

02

Do you already have a style in mind? A lot of clients come to me with a specific idea in mind, whether that be described verbally or through sketches and inspiration images, this is a great way to preface the project so that I can get a clear idea of what you are looking for. This is great for you, the client because it means I will be able to deliver the work you want in less time, meaning a smaller number on your final invoice! If you don't know where to start, that's ok too! I can speak with you further about your project and pull some ideas out of you!

03

What is your budget? It's very important to know how much you are able to spend. You don't want to have me working on a huge project and not realize how much it is going to cost in the end! We can keep this from happening by preparing all of your info listed above and knowing your budgetary limits before starting! That way I can give you the most accurate estimate possible and stay as close to that number as I can while still delivering your perfect final product!

Do you have a deadline we need to work with? If you have a firm deadline it is best to let me know before starting! That way I can honestly let you know what we can achieve within the time constraints. If having something printed professionally, it is best to add a couple of weeks to the production time to be sure that you will be able to get that work on time.

Once you have gotten together all of this info, you are well-prepared to come to me with your project request! I love doing custom work. First, because I get so many great ideas from clients that just need a little extra help, and I love being able to do that for people! Second, creating work for you also means I am creating work for me! I get to add that work to my collection and show it off for all to see. Lastly, It keeps me on my toes! Don't want to keep making the same things over and over! Where's the fun in that?

If you are interested in having me produce some work for you, send me a note. I'd love to hear from you and make your ideas into something you'll truly love to show off!
